Who is this for?

Educators
Our application provides a foundation for teaching machine learning in astrobiology, enabling educators to create interactive tutorials and introduce machine learning concepts in an accessible, easy-to-understand format.

Students
Our interactive interface helps students with limited to no prior machine learning experience build an understanding of fundamental concepts through hands-on exploration and experimentation.

Researchers
Designed for researchers with prior machine learning experience, our application supports the rapid prototyping and testing of machine learning models without requiring extensive programming.
Application Overview
Utilization and deployment of machine learning in astrobiological research has gained much traction in recent years. However, despite this growing popularity and utility, there exists a barrier to entry for its use due to the need to understand a combination of machine learning fundamentals and computer programming. To aid in developing a new generation of astrobiology scientists, we provide a central hub for machine learning education relevant to astrobiology. Our hub includes a user-friendly interactive software (Astrobiology Training Laboratory for AI Systems (ATLAS)) to support visual training and exploration for machine learning, educational videos for learning fundamentals, and educational programming scripts for more hands-on experience with independent computer programming.
